Proposal — prepared for Coniston Shooting Ground · August 2026

From six phone calls a day to a booking system that never sleeps

You've just clicked around a working demonstration of Coniston Shooting Ground running on modern rails — built by SSDev using your real experiences, prices and session times. This page explains what you saw, and how it becomes real.

01 — What you just saw

Three things, working together

A site that sells the ground

Cinematic video from your own photographs, your real prices, and a page for every part of the business — experiences, corporate, vouchers, the shop, the lodge.

A real booking flow

Guests pick an experience, see live availability on your actual slot grid, pay a 50% deposit and get instant confirmation with a calendar invite — at 9pm on a Sunday, without anyone answering a phone.

Your owner console

Every booking in one place: confirm, cancel, block out dates for weather or private events, adjust prices, and let the emails send themselves. Try it — any login works.

02 — Why it pays for itself

The numbers, from your own published prices

Your experience grid holds roughly seventeen bookable sessions a week across clay experiences and lessons — at your prices, that is in the region of £140,000 a year of bookable capacity, and today every one of those bookings has to happen through a phone that's answered office hours, six days a week.

04 — How the build runs

Six weeks, five phases, no disruption to the ground

Weeks 1–2

Foundations. Domain, hosting, database, payments account, and the site design signed off with you — the demonstration you've seen is the starting point, refined with your feedback and photography.

Weeks 2–4

The booking engine. Live availability, deposits, confirmations, reminders, manage-booking links, voucher redemption — tested end to end.

Weeks 4–5

The owner console. Bookings, calendar, blockouts, pricing, emails, corporate enquiries — set up with your team, on your phones and the lodge computer.

Week 5

Migration & training. Existing diary bookings loaded in, the team shown the ropes (it's simpler than a till), and a quiet parallel-running week.

Week 6

Go live. The new site replaces the old one. Phone bookings carry on working exactly as before — they just get typed into the console instead of the diary.

05 — Investment

One build, then a partnership

Build: £15,000 – £22,000

Fixed-price quote after a scoping call — the range depends on payment provider choice, voucher migration and how much of the existing diary we bring across.

Managed service: from £495/month

Hosting, security, backups, support, and a monthly allowance of development time — seasonal pricing changes, new offers, whatever the ground needs. No web agency hourly-rate surprises.

If the system doesn't demonstrably pay for itself in captured bookings and saved admin in year one, we'll say so — the console reports it either way.

06 — Who is SSDev

We build and run systems, not just websites

SSDev is a software development firm that builds and operates production systems for government-linked and enterprise clients — regulatory communications platforms, national tourism analytics platforms, and AI voice systems, all running today with SSDev as the managed operator. A booking engine for a working shooting ground is exactly the shape of thing we do: build it properly, then run it so you never think about it.
